Your Org's Funding

What kind of funding does your org have?
(a little more on the 2 types of funding)

Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) can access funding from the Student Activity Fee in one of two ways:

1. Byline Funding:

Some large groups with large funding needs and a mission to serve the entire undergraduate student body recieve a direct allocation from the Student Activity Fee. For example, Slope Day Programming Board recieves $18 from every student's SAF. Currently, there are 30 "byline funded groups" that recieve a direct allocation of the SAF.

2. SAFC Funding:

For the other 400 student groups that recieve funding, they apply for funding from the Student Assembly Finance Commission (SAFC). The SAFC is itself a byline funded organization and recieves the plurality of money from the SAF. At the beginning of each semester, groups apply for SAFC funding.

Groups are put into tiers with different funding caps based on historical spending and if a group consistently spends all of their funding, they can move up in tiers, gaining access to additional funding. SAFC funding is available for all Registered Student Organizations (RSOs). In other words, your org must be registered or renewed to receive SAFC funding.
